If you are on a Mac, you can use the Font Book app (located in the Applications folder). It allows you to see all of the character in any font installed on your computer and scale them from 9pt all the way up to 288pt.

I don't know about you, but I would love to find a way, book, site in which I can actually SEE what fonts look like.  You know, LIFE sized, no 20 power magnifier needed.  Anyone found such a place?
