Attached is the slide that I use to show an old insect and label with some 
history.

The specimen is in the MCZ.  It was collected by Alexander Agassiz 
(pictured), son of Louis Agassiz, who founded of the MCZ and was Darwin's 
nemesis.  Alexander worked for dad from 1860-1866, during which time he 
visited Michigan.  The label is simply

"Hypoprepia fucosa Hub
Western States
A. Agassiz"

Collecting, databasing, and spreading techniques have come a long way 
since whale oil lamps!
