A working paper on Notre Dame and the elimination of heterodox economics has just been made available. The title is misleading: Micro Processes and Isomorphic Adaptation: Insights from the Struggle for the Soul of Economics at the University
of the Holy Spirit”. The paper is interesting, but the authors take at face value that Catholic Social Teaching is completely compatible with mainstream economics; and that social justice of the CST sort can be found in nearly every article of the AER. John,
this might be an interesting topic of discussion on the ASE listserv; and certainly it would seem to be an interesting topic for a panel discussion at the 2016 ASSA meetings for some heterodox association to put on. The paper can be found at:
