Let's not forget the monarch butterfly – although a great disperser/migrator, European monarchs were probably limited to the occasional adult visitor until the importation of exotic milkweeds (Asclepias, Gomphocarpus) as ornamentals that let them establish breeding populations in Spain. Does that count as an "introduction"? Or maybe a colonization? Andy Professor Andrew V. Z. One example is the sphecid Isodontia mexicana, which is native to much of North America (including parts of Canada). It now occurs in several European countries as far north as Germany.
