For insects, the grill on a cross-country truck accumulates more dead 
bugs over its lifetime than any of us kill in a career of collecting.  
What is the ethics of the interstate highway system in this regard?  
However, I would agree to see all bird and mammal collecting stopped as 
long as the funding for those trips was diverted to insect collecting ;-)
