The square bottles is the SetaSilk brand, a bit more expensive than the Dye n' Flow but worth it.  The wash that they sell is the Synthrapol which most use as a pre-wash to get all the stuff out of  the silk before you dye it.  You can also hand wash in Dawn if you don't want to buy the Synthrapol.

It was Kristine's silk and she said the lightest weight is what she bought (it floats better in the wind but it is also not as durable) but any weight will work.  I use Jacquard silk dye, Kristine's was in a square bottle.  I am trying to get a hold of the info I was given. I will pass on the info when I get it .  There is also a wash you may need.  If I can be of any more help feel free to contact me.

Thanks for taking the class and have fun

My husband took a silk painting class which he enjoyed very much.  He went to the site for supplies [Dharma], but there were many choices for paints and fabric weights to choose from and he couldn't remember which ones the teacher recommended.  Will they all work as well?  We would prefer whatever was used in the class because the Windex trick for removing mistakes was a near miracle for those of who artistically challenged.

Help from the instructor or anyone who remembers which paints and fabrics were used would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you,
