Well, I wasn’t assuming their methods worked all the time. But even part time, would be useful to know, as well as what they thought was effective. I assume it is pretty obvious when you have worms.

They generally didn't. Anthropologists and archeologists dig up people and animal remains all the time that very often show evidence of worms. I believe Richard III sported round worms.

Worms are certainly not only a modern problem. What period solutions do we have for de-worming animals? Or people?
