I had someone suspicious wanting to buy work for a library in Europe. I just told him to buy through my Etsy site and I never heard back!

If address looks wrong trust your gut and don't open it. It can be more than a scam but a way to hack into your computer.

Marj,

I received the same email from the same person. I didn't open it. It's a scam; I've gotten them before. Don't respond.

I know, it's sad he doesn't really want to buy your artwork for his house. :-(

Hi Sci-Art List-servers.

I just received a query from a man in CA who would like to purchase some art for his house. His name is David Williams and he has a gmail address. Has anyone else gotten such a query? I'm thinking it may be spam - however with a gmail address, that seems a bit strange.
