GNSI 2016 EDUCATION SERIES WORKSHOP: Digital Animation and 3D…from the Heartland

Coordinator: Gail Guth • Sara Taliaferro, GNSI Education Director

We are very excited to announce the GNSI 2016 Education Series Workshop…actually TWO, two-day workshops back-to-back (take one, take both!)… on digital animation and 3D Illustration, which will be held October 27-30 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at Indiana-Purdue University-Fort Wayne (IPFW).

Mandy Root–Thompson will guide you through advanced Adobe AfterEffects® animation techniques applied to 2-D illustrations created in Adobe Illustrator®; and David Killpack will guide you through 3D illustration using zBrush®.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn that borders the IPFW campus. The Inn features a large pool, exercise room, an on-site restaurant, and complimentary shuttle service to the campus and other locations around town.

Fort Wayne is Indiana’s second-largest city and boasts a nationally-recognized zoo (open in the evenings during the workshop for Halloween trick-r-treating), about a zillion restaurants, numerous walking and biking trails, a botanical conservatory (enjoy the Japanese Garden exhibit during your stay), a well-stocked art and teacher education store only minutes from the hotel, and country singer Chris Young at the Coliseum directly across the street! The gorgeous Embassy Theater downtown will feature “Bugs Bunny At The Symphony, with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and the IPFW Music Center will host Halloween Spooktacular, again with Philharmonic musicians. A superb library, art museum, science museum, and numerous parks are just a few more area attractions. Go to www.visitfortwayne.com for more information.

Look for complete details and registration information coming soon.

We are excited to welcome you to the Heartland!
