Theme: Institutional Organization, Change, and Problems of Economic Systems 

The Association for Evolutionary Economics invites papers for a session at the 2017 Midwest Economics Association (MEA) in Cincinnati. We welcome papers that discuss specific issues and their evolution within the broader economy; theoretical analyses of institutional change; as well as explorations of problem-solving within complex systems. Economic systems may be discussed at various levels, and as systems of human interaction and provisioning of resources, goods, and services within sectors, regions, and communities. Case studies, methodological inquiries, and pedagogical discussions, as well as historical and contemporary topics are equally suitable for this session.
