I have just had a visit by the owners of San Miguelito Jaguar Conservation Ranch in the lowlands of Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
Anyone wishing to conduct research AND collect here (with accommodations) should look at the links below. About 80% of this large ranch is still in forest with extensive trails and native biota and would be an ideal location for biodiversity work. Some vertebrates (72 mammals; 223 birds) have been censused but NO insects! Opportunity awaits.
