I just learned (again through Bob Anderson) that Anne Howden passed away this morning.  She was a specialist on entimine weevils (especially the Tanymecini) and had been living in a seniors residence in Victoria BC near her three daughters and their families since shortly after the death of her husband, Henry Howden.  She feel in early August and never fully recovered.  We will be adding her to the Memorial Wall at the ECN meeting, but we could certainly use any photos that anyone has of her.  Attached is a cute one that I found of Henry and Anne in the field in Panama.  It’s been a brutal year indeed for taxonomy.
