The conference will take place on Thursday, May 11, and Friday, May 12, 2017, in the Rozsa Centre on the University of Calgary campus. This year we are pleased to welcome two distinguished keynote speakers to help mark the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation: *Dr. Mary Ingraham*, Professor of Music at the University of Alberta, and Canadian composer *Allan Gordon Bell*, Professor of Music at the University of Calgary. We encourage submissions from graduate students in musicology, theory, music education, performance, and composition, and from graduate students from other disciplines, who are studying aspects of music in Canada, both pre- and post-1867. We also welcome submissions on other topics related to music. Presentations should be no longer than twenty minutes and lecture-recitals no longer than forty minutes. A ten-minute question period will follow each presentation. Abstracts should be approximately 350 words and must contain no information that could identify you or your institution. All abstracts will be evaluated anonymously and should be suitable for publication in the conference program. *Submissions must be received by 23:59 (Mountain time) on Friday, February 10, 2017*. The chosen presenters will be notified on or before Friday, March 10, 2017. Proposals should include your abstract as PDF or DOC file, attached to an email with your *name, affiliation, contact information and AV requirements*.
