The Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) is introducing a new Master's program, Sound Studies and Sonic Arts (SoundS). The low-residency, part-time postgraduate program is aimed at professionals working in the field of sound with a university degree or exceeding creative talent. The program serves to deepen theoretical and practical skills, audio related theory and practice, particularly in cultural studies, musicology, aesthetics, sound art, performance, architecture, design and media production.
The new Sound Studies and Sonic Arts program is held in English and will span over three years with alternating phases of residency and off campus projects, concluding with a Master project and a degree in Master of Arts. Classes start in October 2017, applications are accepted February 1-14, 2017.
