The annual meeting of the Society for Christian Scholarship in Music will be held from Thursday February 9, 2017 at 10:30 AM until Saturday February 11, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Scripps College, Claremont, CA.

In addition to individual papers on a wide variety of topics, the meeting will include a keynote address on early mission music in California by Dr. Craig Russell Professor of Music at Cal Poly San Obispo; a concert of newly commissioned settings of texts by Julian of Norwich, chant by Hildegard von Bingen, and Couperin's Leçons de ténèbres; an exhibition of notable hymnals from the Robert Guy McCutchan Collection of Hymnology, choir books and other medieval and renaissance manuscripts, and Shaker manuscripts, from the Special Collections of Honnold-Mudd Library; and opportunities to research in the Special Collections holdings.
