*CONFERENCE: MUSIC AND THE JEWISH WORLD:* *EXPRESSION ACROSS REAL AND IMAGINARY BOUNDARIES* *FEBRUARY 18–19, 2017, AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO* The conference *Music and the Jewish World: Expression across Real and Imaginary *is hosted by the Anne Tanenbaum Centre for Jewish Studies and the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto, and is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. In bringing together scholars from diverse fields this conference will illuminate different aspects of the interplay between music and the Jewish world in the past and today. Complete program is available at http://cjs.utoronto.ca/events/ calendar/conference-music-and-jewish-world-expression-across -real-and-imaginary-boundaries In addition to individual papers, the conference will also include: - A concert-lecture showcasing the last work of the Jewish composer Viktor Ullmann: *The Chronicle of the Love and Death of the Flag-Bearer Christoph Rilke* (1944), composed at the concentration camp Theresienstadt/Terezín during the Shoah. The work will be performed by Christine Wilkie Bohlman (University of Chicago), and Philip V.
