Deadline (EXTENDED): April 1, 2017

Current Musicology invites submissions of new research in all fields of musical inquiry. In keeping with a long tradition of interdisciplinary publication, this may include, but is not limited to, work in the fields of historical musicology, ethnomusicology, music theory, popular music studies, media and technology studies, and music education. The editors especially encourage submissions from graduate students and other scholars early in their professional careers.

Current Musicology is a leading forum for research in all areas of music scholarship, seeking to reflect the breadth and diversity of approaches and topics that characterize contemporary music research. CM was founded in 1965 by graduate students at Columbia University as a semiannual review that would primarily serve the needs of musicologists who are about to undertake, are presently engaged in, or have recently completed their graduate studies.
