On behalf of Gonzalo Halffter and Juan J Morrone, I am pleased to draw your attention to a new paper by them concerning the conceptual history and the biogeographical significance of Halffter’s Mexican Transition Zone. Much of the supporting evidence for the discussion centers on scarabaeine dung beetles.
