I seriously disagree with all of the assumptions Guy lists that undergird the complaint. Not one of them holds up to serious scrutiny. Especially the special pleading that such teaching is inherently unsafe...because the complainant *says* it is, with no more foundation than that.
Will irresponsible people act irresponsibly with swords? Sure, but they would do that without video encouragement. Any attempt to show them the *right* way to do that is going to be more beneficial than leaving them to dangerously poke at each other with no such training.
And proclaiming, without any real basis, that Guy's teaching is unethical -- and that he knows it is -- is as dishonorable a thing as I have seen in recent memory
But I have no strong opinions on the matter.
