Karen,I have received a number of requests from "local" people, that I only know from Linked-in, so I just assumed it was a Linked-in thing... But I don't know.I accepted the request from the 2nd person, and BAM! I was expected to attend a meet and greet reception the very next day in the middle of the afternoon, and they wanted to link to my website, which is not ready for public viewing, and a couple other things that really turned me off... I kind of got a little anxious about the whole deal. Now, If I had been ready for the public, the influx of attention would have probably been welcomed. But as it was, I have just ignored the requests that have come my way since...Your results may vary...Good Luck!On Mon, Aug 28, 2017 at 10:35 AM, Karen Ackoff <[log in to unmask]> wrote:Is anyone familiar with a service called align.com? Someone has “invited” me to be on their referral list. There are no charges (which is odd, as there is also no advertising, so I wonder how the site makes money)… perhaps they plan to charge in the future. It seems to be a networking site for small businesses, a way to refer people to other businesses.
Just wondering as this is new to me…
