Greetings, all!

Youth and Teen classes will be offered at Clothiers Seminar! Many thanks to Lady Adelaide Sarsfield, Kingdom Minister of Youth, and the instructors who will be teaching these classes! (These do not appear on the schedule linked on the Clothiers website (http://www.shireofcai.org/CS2018.php), but are posted as a separate document.)

Youth and Teen Classes at Clothiers Seminar 2018

9am: Teens: Baking with Ysabel!
• Instructor: Lady Ysabel de la Oya
• Location: Common room, near the kitchen
We will learn to bake a medieval shortbread.

9am: All: Beginning Hand Sewing - Make a Coif!
• Instructor: Mistress Roselyn of Aberdeen
• Location: Common room, behind panels
• Cost: $5
• Class limit: 5
Kit contains linen hat pieces, ribbon for ties, thread, needles, and sewing snips.
Note: Instructor will be on hand throughout the day for personal instruction.

10am: All: Felted Wool Mittens
• Instructor: Mistress Lilian Bowyer
• Location: Kitchen
• Bring felting wool, if you have some
• Class limit: 5
Learn to felt a pair of warm mittens, to keep your hands warm when it’s cold out!
Possible needle felting and/or embroidery instructions, as able.
Note: If anyone has a bit of felting wool to donate to this class, it would be appreciated.

10am: All: Costume Research
• Instructor: HL Caitlin nic Raighne
• Location: Common room, behind panels
Instructor will begin with a discussion on the Walk through History, with reference books and images, to help students select garb they are interested in making for themselves.
If there is fabric available, and time, instructor may assist in cutting out the pattern and getting the student started on their new garb.

3pm: All: Beginning Embroidery
• Instructor: Mistress Roselyn of Aberdeen
• Location: Common room, behind panels
• Cost: $5
• Class limit: 5
Kit contains hoop, stamped linen, needles, floss, snips, and handouts.
Note: Instructor will be on hand throughout the day for personal instruction.
