MA RITUAL CHANT AND SONG - SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

We are pleased to invite applications for a one-year MA in Ritual Chant and Song at the University of Limerick (Ireland). Western plainchant is the core chant repertoire studied, and the programme is associated with Glenstal Abbey, a local Benedictine monastery. Students will have the opportunity to learn chant with internationally renowned professional early music performers, and vocal study is contextualized by seminars in palaeography, liturgy, medieval history, ritual studies and ethnomusicology. Students may choose to work towards a final performance, a final dissertation, or both.

Non-EU students may apply for Stepping Stones Scholarships, which are worth up to a full fee waiver (international fees). The deadline for applications is Wednesday 21st February at 4 p.m. Anyone wishing to apply is advised to contact Eleanor Giraud in advance of the deadline.
All students may apply for one of three general Stepping Stones Scholarships, each worth €1,000. The deadline for applications is also Friday 25th May at 4 p.m.
