The Temple University Theory, History, and Ethnomusicology Society (THEMUS)
is pleased to announce the program for its fifth annual graduate conference
on Friday and Saturday, 13–14 April 2018. The conference program, location,

ple.edu/themus/graduate-conference/2018-conference. All events are free and
open to the public.

The conference features plenary lectures by Prof. Daniel Stevens
(University of Delaware) and Prof. Daniel Beller-McKenna (University of New
Hampshire) alongside presentations by graduate students from Boston
University, Michigan State, NYU, Pennsylvania State, University of
Pennsylvania, University of Pittsburgh, Princeton, Rutgers, and Texas A&M.
In addition to Saturday’s paper sessions, the program includes a Friday
afternoon pedagogy symposium with presentations and demonstrations about
ear training, error detection, teaching contemporary music, and
decolonizing the historical survey.

Registrations completed by 1 April 2018 will ensure accurate orders of
food, refreshments, programs, and other conference materials. Please direct
