               Thanks for the offer of help. I’m not doing much on that camera any more, and I don’t mind that, as it is mostly specimen photos which aren’t very exciting. I will keep you in mind if I have difficult problems as I hear you are a bit of a camera wizard these days.

Yes I’m not interested in starting any OS wars either. We were given an expensive large format camera (Leaf Aptus) for taking high resolution images of Herbarium specimens and all the specifications were given by the donor including the attached Macintosh. I have used Macs before but am just a lot more familiar with PCs and all the IT support people at work are also PC people.

That could be my problem, too, Will.  Resistance to change, that is.  I wonder if you might elaborate on your statement of being glad your camera (a research camera?) is connected to a PC.  Don't want to start any OS wars, just curious.
