Interdisciplinary Fellowships
Yale Institute of Sacred Music
New Haven, Connecticut
Each year, the Yale Institute of Sacred Music (ISM) brings a group of Fellows from around the world to join its interdisciplinary community, normally for a one-year term. The ISM Fellows are scholars and practitioners at all career stages whose work revolves
around the sacred, whether sacred music, ritual studies, or religion and the arts. Postdoctoral and senior scholars in Musicology are encouraged to apply. The application is due on
November 1, 2018 for fellowships that begin in Fall 2019.
Fellows have the opportunity to pursue their scholarly or artistic projects with access to Yale’s unparalleled resources. In addition to a competitive stipend, fellows may qualify for research funds, subsidized housing, and relocation costs. Fellows may also
have the option to teach.
In addition, collections-based short-term fellowships are now offered.
