The music theory faculty of the Boston University School of Music invites applications for its Masters (MA) program in Music Theory.
Our two-year MA program is designed as intensive preparation for entrance into doctoral study. Students work closely with faculty throughout their time in the program. We have a successful record of placement into the leading doctoral programs. Students also benefit from the greater resources and vibrant scholarly community of the School of Music and Boston University as a whole, along with the wider musical and intellectual offerings of the Boston metropolitan area.
