Thanks for mentioning this, Kari -- good to know! When I did a search for "Willa Cather Obituary" a while ago, the headline from the NY Times which I found listed cited her as the author of "A Lost Lady."
It's interesting that "Lost Lady" was the title they led off with.
A Lost Lady leads reviewer Michael Dirda’s list of the best books of 1923, now coming into the public domain. His
Washington Post column (8 February 2019) calls Cather’s book “One of the heartbreaking masterpieces of arguably the finest American novelist of the twentieth century.”
Always good to hear this from other sources.
