Yes, I think there is. I played with it - don’t recall now where I left it but YES there must be some hidden CRUD!!  I have taken screenshots and made new files, and recopied/pasted as new files, trying to get rid of the crud… nut maybe I didn’t change the color space….
I haven’t played with it in a few days (have all sorts of technological hell here in remote Florida: no internet, no phone; when it rains it pours…. but think I have the patience to play again today). Thanks a lot for any help. I’ll be in touch.

Barbara,

It would seem that Photoshop CC is not truly saving a clean JPG with out lots of Photoshop crud buried inside, possibly it is also including a color profile, which is not really needed if you have converted the images to an sRGB colorspace. See if there is a setting in the web export that is set to include a color profile.

Try File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy). You don’t say what version of what (Photoshop, I assume) you are using.

I cannot comment on the rest as I’m not familiar with Science-Art.

Hi All,

I have been trying to load images to the Science-Art site and have got image quality down to zero (!), and am “exporting" to web (no option to “save" for web) at the lowest possible quality also, and a very poor-looking 108 X 108 pixel image STILL comes up at 45 kb.
I have never had this problem before…..
How the heck can I get it down to 8 kb?
The larger images have the same problem but there are kind of more options as you can always just reduce the overall image size (which is not my preference…. Can’t hardly make a 108 X 108 pixel image smaller…).
There is no metadata or file info. I have tried a number of images. Don’t know what I am doing wrong!
I have already run through all the suggestions in the tutorial on the site.
Ideas..?

Thanks!!
Barbara
