I found that when I upgraded to Mojave on my desktop it changed the way Preview displays images (way too contrasty) so I haven't upgraded on my iMac.Trudy Gerlach On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, 1:00:36 AM EDT, SCIART-L automatic digest system <[log in to unmask]> wrote: There are 2 messages totaling 354 lines in this issue. I'm in the gradual process of switching over to Apple's versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint because I don't want to keep upgrading the Office products and I've never loved them anyway. I don't worry about Adobe products because, with a monthly subscription, I have automatic access to upgrades. I'm not really sure what you mean about Adobe wanting to "control" the Mac, so I don't how helpful this is! Best of luck, --- *Emily S. I kept saying no, and they stopped. However, like Emily, I am using Microsoft Office 2011, and it's problematic. I use Excel a LOT, and Powerpoint. I decided to stick with Powerpoint, because when I teach in various spots, they don't often have the Apple equivalents. On two occasions my laptop failed in workshops, and I relied on my flash drive backups for Powerpoints and used their non-mac equipment. So much as I dislike it, I will probably upgrade soon to the Office package. I was concerned with the Mojave upgrade, with requests to gain control of documents, or contact lists, and I just kept saying no. I didn't have time to read all the fine print to understand just what they wanted. It might be why Microsoft Word is so buggy right now :) Perhaps others have read all the fine print to comprehend the consequences. Cheers, Linda ____________________________ Linda M.
