Hi Lynette:
I had that happen a few times, but notice it on the .psb (large format documents) than the .psd. 
Now I cannot find an example of a .psd or .tif document. phht.
I use Bridge all the time and find it very useful, since I search by sight and not by words.

Karen, yes, it does work to go to that last column to get a preview. Better than opening each file for a look. I’ll try Bridge also. Hardly ever use that but I do have it. Will check out the Finder prefs as well. Thank you!

You can also use Adobe Bridge to view images in a folder. 

Other than that, try playing with Finder prefs and see if that makes a difference. I’m away from my computer at the moment but will check later.
