The Desautels Faculty of Music at the University of Manitoba invites
applications for a probationary, tenure-track position in musicology at the
rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2020.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a full range of
undergraduate and graduate courses, to maintain an active research program,
and to engage in a broad range of institutional and professional service.

The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Musicology (ABD may be considered)
with primary expertise in Western art music and will have demonstrated
success in teaching at the postsecondary level, as well as a record of
peer-reviewed scholarly work. The candidate's area of specialization within
musicology should complement the research interests of the current faculty.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
