[log in to unmask]"> You betcha Linda! I don't really even know what 'Transfer" is meant to do, but I always take a look at it when my brushes are misbehavin'.
BTW, I just upgraded to Photoshop CC 2020, and I had a major issue with loss of pen pressure sensitivity, which I was able to fix (rather complex). If any of you are on the Windows side, and lose brush sensitivity, let me know and I will walk you through the fix. It's a known prob that Adobe can't seem to surmount.

[log in to unmask]"> Thanks Marj for asking about this - I’ve been very frustrated with the same sort of thing happening with the eraser.I have gotten used to looking at the top menu, and have tested and tried out nearly all the options in the settings window for brushes… but confess I forgot to uncheck “transfer” with the eraser (why oh WHY does it only erase 98.5% of your work in a single stroke, when on 100% opacity, 100% flow, 0 smoothing??)!
I think the “transfer” being off may have fixed it.(That last 1.5% makes a lot of difference!!)
Thanks for the solution Linda and everyone!Barb

Hi Marj: when that has happened to me, I think I solved it by looking at the strip above the image. Set the mode to Normal, not "Multiply" (sometimes brushes default to Multiply). Opacity: 100%, Flow 100% and Smoothing 0%.
that fixed it for me... I think the two taht sneak in there are Mode and Smoothing.
Hope this helps,
Linda

[log in to unmask]" class=""> Hi List Serv.
I’m having a heck of a time getting the pressure sensitive pen or pencil to be opaque. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make BLACK expressive lines - I’ve done everything I know to do. Using older versions of PS I never had this problem. Would love a solution!!
Thanks in advance!
