I have a combination of microscopes, and like the flexibility for my
situation. They are very inexpensive, and probably won't be what you need,
but I thought I'd chime in.

I use this one (USB) in my classes, to show small parts of grasses and
flowers to the students, and I send the visuals through my tablet:

In my studio, I have a really basic dissecting scope. It was most important
to me to have the light coming from above, but it also has a base light.

The USB scope can also send photos to my cell phone or tablet. I also use
that feature for my classes. I'm really enjoying it!

Best,
Camille
