It's updated continuously and is a fantastic resource.
Unfortunately, as far as I know, the handwriting samples are not part of it, presumably because it would be extremely labor intensive to segment them out of the original irregularly arranged multi-sample photographic plates in order to link the images with individual entries.
If you go to the search page given above, the heading "imprint" at the top of the page has information about the history, etc. of the data and database. The settings button beside imprint lets you choose Deutsch, English, or Français for the interface (among other things).
