Applicants should have: (i) a PhD degree in a relevant field; (ii) a primary research area in historical musicology (preferably 18th – 20th century) with a secondary specialty in music education or pedagogy; (iii) a record of outstanding publications and successful grant applications, or clear potential thereof. The appointee is expected to strengthen and complement the Department’s research activities and to actively apply for external competitive grants. Duties include (a) conducting top-tier independent and joint research; (b) teaching one course per semester at undergraduate/postgraduate level; (c) supervising students’ projects and theses; and (d) assisting in administrative duties.
