The Queens College MA in Musicology, Music Theory, & Composition is now accepting applications. Our degree provides an exceptional foundation in graduate study. As the nation’s premier urban public university, CUNY offers a quality education at an affordable price. The Queens College MA combines the resources of a conservatory program and an excellent research library at the Aaron Copland School of Music with the doctoral facilities of the CUNY Graduate Center and the wider musical and academic riches of New York City. Classes focus on critical thinking, disciplinary literacy, and recent trends in music scholarship; students work closely with faculty members to develop their research skills and written fluency, and the degree culminates in a second-year thesis or portfolio.
