Non-NU Email The Southwest Chapter of The College Music Society is pleased to announce its Call for Program Participation for its Regional Conference on February 25–27, 2022, at Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, California. The theme for the conference is “Leading Change” as designated by The College Music Society: "CMS is leading nothing short of an epistemic shift in the ways in which we prepare musicians for the challenges and opportunities of living, learning, and teaching in a hybrid-world and how we define what music and musicians count within music in higher education." The Program Committee welcomes proposals directly related to the theme, but presenters are also welcome to propose presentations on any topic taught as an academic music course, discipline, or program within institutions of higher education. The Chapter is also interested in providing a forum for music professionals from all educational settings, including students, faculty, independent musicians, and retired educators. Proposals may be submitted for an individual paper, panel consisting of several discussants, discussion forum, or lecture-recital. Lecture-recital proposals may involve a solo instrument or small ensemble (a piano will be available).
