The Department of Economics at Texas Christian University invites applications for a tenure- track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2022, with the expectation that they have completed all Ph.D. requirements by August 2022. Successful candidates will be pursuing a research agenda and teach courses that:

·         employ big data analysis (AI techniques, machine learning, or other statistical inference methods)


·         investigate issues related to the economics of gender, race, or ethnicity or contemporary social movements such as sexuality and culture.


The research expectation is commensurate with 3/2 teaching load. Departmental representatives will conduct virtual interviews.

By November 30, interested individuals will have signed in online at and upload 1) a cover letter, 2) CV, 3) job market paper and statement regarding research plans, 4) evidence of effective teaching, and 5) a statement indicating experiences with and contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
